How to Complete the Mathathon Sponsorship Form

What is the Mathathon?

The Mathathon is a school fundraiser. Students complete a set of maths questions and family and friends can sponsor them.

The number of questions depends on your child’s year level:

• Years 0–1: 25 questions
• Years 2–3: 40 questions
• Years 4–6: 50 questions

How can I help?

Ask family and friends if they would like to sponsor your child.

A sponsor can choose:

• A set amount — for example, $10 or $20
  OR
• An amount for every correct answer — for example, $1 for each correct answer.

Example

If someone sponsors $1 for every correct answer and your child gets 35 answers correct, the sponsor will give $35.

What do I write on the form?

For each sponsor:

1. Write the sponsor’s name.
2. Write how much they will give for each correct answer OR the set amount they will give.
3. After the Mathathon, write the total amount.
4. Tick whether they paid online or cash.
5. Once the money has been given, ask the sponsor to sign the form.

What happens after the Mathathon?

The Mathathon Challenge is on Thursday 10 September.

After your child has completed the Mathathon and received their result, please collect the sponsorship money.

Please return the completed sponsorship form and any cash collected to the school office by Thursday 24 September.

⭐ Important: Your child will still take part in the Mathathon even if they do not get any sponsors.
